Most boot camps will prepare their participants for the many challenges that lie ahead. Some may even over-prepare them in order to give them a sense of relief once they are competent enough to withstand even more than they have been given. However, where more physical-oriented boot camps may strain the muscles, stamina and resilience of an athlete, a code boot camp contains challenges that usually rise up from within the participant themselves, which can not only be frightening, but more difficult to detect and deal with than physical challenges. Approaching the final three-week stretch of my current run at a code boot camp, I thought it may be helpful to let others know some struggles and potential solutions that come from entering into an intense, accelerated learning environment.
